I’m really enjoying all that this hobby has brought me. Dealing with people at galleries is a lot of fun, and I’ve met so many new and wonderful people. And seeing the art is just amazing. I’ve never aspired to become a painter, but I am truly fascinated by people who have this gift, as well as mixed media artists. Being added to the list of Gallery Artists for Mount Washington Valley Arts Association is an honor and a gift (Gallery Artists – Mt. Washington Valley Arts Association (mwvarts.org)) and I’m so excited to be part of it.
The marketing aspect of all this is still challenging. How to present your work, and get your name out there are things that take a lot of thought. I want to present my photos in print, but I’ll never be that person that puts his work on T-Shirts and mugs. It’s fine art, not a novelty. So I’ll continue to just produce prints, and a couple things to look forward to are calendars, as well as a photo book that are both in the works. And for now, the only new stuff to offer is the addition of a 5X7 size in all my prints.
